🔥Top 3 Fishing tips | Boca Grande Fishing

It was our first time fishing out at Boca Grande and a great experience. There are three things to know when going out fishing on Boca Grande. 1. There is no Bait Stores on the island so get bait before you go over to the island. The Marina, right before the toll booth, is the last place but a good place to pick up bait. It is also the closest place to the island. 2. What we found anglers were mostly using are live shrimp, pins, and croakers. You can buy them but using a Sabiki rig you can get pins and croakers all the time, at least I did not have a problem catching any. 3. If fishing on the Pier make sure to weir clothing appropriate so the mosquitos do not eat you alive. There are two sides to the pier, East and West, and no they do not connect. The larger pier is on the East side but takes longer to get their. We had a lot of Success on the East side, the mainland side, catching Snapper, Snook, Red, and Shark. We also caught a Frog and Lizard Fish. Near the pilons there seems to be places the fish like to hide but if you hook a large one you have to make sure to keep it away from the pilon because it will wrap around and you will end up cutting your line.
