1918: The Other European Fronts – Eastern, Italian and Balkan - Graydon Tunstall
The situation in Russia after the Kerensky Offensive and the November Revolution led into the negotiations for the Brest-Litovsk Treaty, followed by the German invasion of the Ukraine and the Baltic region. This presentation discusses the social-economic-political and military collapse of Austria-Hungary as well as a review of the major events on the Italian front followed by a discussion of the collapse of the Balkan front in September 1918 and its effects on the outcome of the war. Dr. Graydon Tunstall recently retired as Senior Lecturer of History at the University of South Florida and the Executive Director for Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society.
