This very unusual "winged" needle will help you quickly create hemstitching or embroidery in a traditional style. The needle is called a Schmetz Wing. I have a size 100, but a 120 is also available (the holes will be larger). Special wings on the sides of the needle spread the threads of the fabric, leaving a hole. Suggested Use: For embroidery, choose fabrics with a loose weave (linen, cotton); Set the stitch width 1 mm smaller than the machine width to prevent the needle wings from damaging machine parts; For decorative stitches, stabilize the fabric with an adhesive or water-soluble stabilizer; For hemstitching, you don't need to glue the fabric, but be sure to stretch the fabric by hand; For a greater hole effect, choose stitches that make 2-3 holes in the same place; For hemstitching, you can use a regular zigzag stitch or a special decorative stitch.
