Solo Hot Tent Camping and Fishing by The Lake

This one started a little differently. There’s no direct road access to this campsite, so everything had to be loaded into the canoe first. The weather wasn’t really on my side either — the wind was strong the whole way there, and paddling across the water took much longer than expected. At some points it honestly felt like I wasn’t moving at all. But once I finally reached the campsite, everything changed. The place was completely quiet, surrounded by the Canadian wilderness, with nothing around except the sound of the water and the trees. After setting up the tent and getting settled in, I made a hot meal and just enjoyed the calm after the long paddle in. The next morning I tried my luck fishing before leaving camp, but no fish this time either 😅 Still, mornings like this are never really a loss. Trips like these aren’t always easy, but that’s part of what makes them memorable. The effort to get there, the silence, the isolation, the small moments around camp — it all feels different out here. If this is your kind of camping, you’re always welcome to stay with me 🤍    / @zayacamp   If you made it this far, let me know where you’re watching from — and if you’d ever canoe into a remote campsite like this. Hope you enjoy this one!
