"Micromanagement" is Ruining 4X Games Design | BATTLEMODE's Unpopular Opinions
In this episode of BATTLEMODE's Unpopular Opinions, I make the claim that mass misunderstanding and misuse of the term "Micromanagement" is ruining 4X and strategy games design. I put forwards a thesis on how this has happened, and what effect I feel it's having on the games that are developed today. I invite you to reply and let me know whether or not you agree with my assessment! If you're polite I'll likely respond, and I more than welcome pushback and criticism of my ideas because it's the best way for me to learn. I'm rarely so fixed in my ideas that I can't be swayed by a persuasive argument.
