2008 Dodge Cummins 2500 - 68RFE Teardown, 5th Gear Slip, No Lockup

Today we tear down a 2008 Dodge Cummins 68rfe. Customer brought us the whole vehicle, and we confirmed 5th gear was slipping, the transmission had no lockup, and was throwing multiple codes. The fluid was beginning to break down, due to the overdrive clutch pack slipping. The valve body’s and pump body’s are notorious for going bad in these earlier 68rfe’s because the aluminum is non anodized and wears easily. There will be a ton of content coming out to you guys on this 68rfe transmission.
