On July 18, 2025, in the ethnic settlement of Holmgard, located on the banks of the Volkhov River near the village of Shevelevo in the Novgorod Region, the music of Njörda merged with the spirit of Ancient Rus' and Scandinavian sagas. Under the open sky, where every moment was steeped in the history of the 9th-11th centuries, the band treated the audience to a truly unforgettable show. The sounds of Nordic folk seamlessly intertwined with the powerful energy of melodic metal, and the enchanting melodies transported listeners to the mysterious world of northern legends. Enchanting shamanic chants, shrouded in dark ethnic motifs, alternated with light, academic vocals, creating a special magic capable of bringing ancient tales to life. Njörda is a St. Petersburg-based musical project whose work draws inspiration from Scandinavian mythology, ancient sagas, and centuries-old traditions. The band consists of Tanya Berkut, Garis Chiz, Pavel Sartre, Anna KiaRa, Anna Sinitsa, Nikita Antonov, and Alexander Vikulyev. Their goal is not simply to perform songs, but to create a special atmosphere where every note, every sound, and every image form a unified picture of an ancient world full of mystery and magic.
