Automatic Lead Ingots Casting and Stacking Machine

Engitec Technologies S.p.A. has realized fully automatic lead and lead alloys casting and stacking machine for our client in Bulgaria with a capacity of 40 ton/hour and 45 kg ingots. The casting system has the scope to convert the liquid lead available in existing kettles into solid ingots piled in stacks. The system is composed by two units as follows: The first unit is an in-line horizontal “water-bed” casting conveyor composed by a double chain where casting moulds are fixed. The mould travel in one tank filled with cooling water that helps the solidification of the molten lead, at the same time the ingots are stamped. Due to the water-bed system, no steaming vapours are produced and released in the environment. In the second step the automatic stacking machine, after detection of the correct dimension of the ingot, collects each five-ingots row and correctly piles them to form a pre-defined stack on a stacks receiving conveyor where it is weighted. The final stack is strapped in automatic way with strapping machines. All the system is directly connected and interfaced with the control system for automatic check and record. Engitec has supplied more than 20 casting machine worldwide and can supply manual or automatic casting machine starting from 5 to 50 tons/hour with an ingots weight from 15 to 50 kg.
