USA Reise: Arches National Park | Crossing America Ep. 5

Moab, Utah on day 2 of our USA trip: We'll start at the Arches National Park Visitor Center, check out information on geology, wildlife, and trails, and then take you to the highlights north and east of the park. On the agenda are Sand Dune Arch (walking barefoot through super-soft sand), the Windows Section with North & South Window and Turret Arch, the iconic Double Arch, Balanced Rock, and Devils Garden with the famous Landscape Arch. Finally, there's Delicate Arch from the Lower Viewpoint – perfect if you're short on time or the heat is oppressive. Important: For Arches National Park, you need a timed-entry reservation and a park pass during the season; plan to bring plenty of water, as parking lots and short trails fill up quickly. Moab itself is the ideal base camp on US-191: short routes, restaurants, a microbrewery, shopping, and the neighboring Dead Horse Point State Park and Canyonlands (Island in the Sky).
