My first time to make caramel cake icing Mrs. Mollie Tadlock’s caramel cake icing and whiteLily batter makes for a good cake to go with my black coffee. Let’s see it we can make it. This is my very first time to make caramel icing. In a big boiler add 1/4 cup the the sugar. Stirring constantly until it browns. ( caramelized ) Add butter until melted then add one cup of your sugar. Mix well. Add evaporated milk, stir until it boils. Then add the remaining sugar. Now boil until a soft ball can be formed in a cup of tap water. When you are able to form the small ball with your finger then move the mixture off the heat. Beat in powder sugar and vanilla with a hand mixer or whisk until smooth. IMMEDIATELY ICE The cake while the icing is warm. White Lily Baking #CookingwithBrendaGantt
