Bathinda Police Sets Example of Honesty | Returns ₹3.5 Lakh Cash Bag, Refuses ₹50,000 Reward In a heartwarming act of honesty, Bathinda Police returned a lost ladies' bag containing more than ₹3.5 lakh in cash, an arms license, Aadhaar card, driving license, and other important documents to its rightful owner. During routine patrolling near Vishwas Colony along the canal, ASI Rajinder Singh and Head Constable Gurtej Singh of PCR-7 discovered the unattended bag. Using the mobile number mentioned on the arms license, the police quickly contacted the owner, Vikka Sharma. After proper verification, the entire cash and documents were safely handed back. Overwhelmed with gratitude, Vikka Sharma offered the officers a ₹50,000 reward, but both policemen politely refused, saying they had only performed their duty and that serving the public honestly is their responsibility.
