The Recording Academy has announced a new Grammy category: Best Asian Pop Music Performance - and ARMY noticed the problem immediately. Asian pop deserves recognition. K-pop, J-pop, C-pop and other Asian music scenes deserve recognition. But many BTS fans are asking a much bigger question: is this category true recognition, or could it become another way of keeping non-Western music in a separate box?
