The best place to snorkel in Hawaii - Hanauma Bay. This is the number one recommended place to snorkel in Hawaii. This beautiful place did not disappoint. We saw many different fishes, snorkels, and families and friends enjoying the beach, especially the sunrise view. The restrooms were clean, they had a "rent a snorkel mask and flippers" next to the men's restroom. They even had a little Hale for cold water and juice drinks, and no alcohol was allowed in/on the park. My wife, sister, and I enjoyed snorkeling here. We recommend it 100% and will definitely go back soon. There are scenic areas before and after the park about 1/4 mile away. You can park there and wait for 0630, then head over to the park. The park opens at 0645, so be mindful of the traffic there. Military with ID and Residents with ID are free admission and do not need a reservation, they can walk on. Parking is $3 for general and $1 for Residents with ID or Students with ID.
