Apple Macintosh Classic Checkerboard Repair: First Attempt

A friend gave me this Apple Macintosh Classic. It had the well known checkerboard issue: the screen only shows a pattern. No startup sound, no disc activity, no fun. In this episode I try to solve the problem by replacing capacitors, searching for shorts and some other tricks. I'm not an expert at this but I want to show you what I tried and what I learned from it. Have fun watching!
