Vanessa Bell and The Pond at Charleston
We visited Charleston to discover more about Vanessa Bell's painting The Pond at Charleston. We were joined by Collections Manager Miriam Phelan at Charleston to tell us about Bell, the Bloomsbury Group and the inspiration they drew from the pond and surrounding landscape. You can see The Pond at Charleston on display in the exhibition at Pallant House Gallery until 23 April. The exhibition highlights the long history of inspiration that artists have found within our local landscape from Turner and Constable to Contemporary artists.
