Instead, Djarot questioned the consistency of parties that lost the presidential election but still decided to join the winning coalition. "What's unclear are those who lost the presidential election but joined it. Why have such a 'bloody' presidential election, if in the end, they just join," Djarot said at the Central Jakarta Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) Building on Monday (June 22, 2026). Djarot viewed the phenomenon of losing parties flocking to government as a form of dishonesty towards their constituents. He argued that this attitude undermines the mandate given to them by the people during the election. Djarot explained that the PDI-P's decision to remain outside the government was based on respect for democratic principles. "The PDI-P's stance is clear.
