IOM Whitehaven to Douglas Episode 1

Join us for Part 1 of our epic Isle of Man circumnavigation aboard MV Rosiebud! Our adventure begins as we leave our home port of Whitehaven Harbour and set course across the Irish Sea for the Isle of Man. After reaching the island's most northerly point, the Point of Ayre, we continue our journey south along the stunning east coast, taking in some spectacular coastal scenery along the way. Our destination is the bustling port of Douglas, where ferries, cruise ships and commercial traffic make for an exciting arrival. Before entering the harbour, we must radio the harbour master for permission to proceed, then time our approach to pass through the marina's lifting bridge, which opens just once every 30 minutes. This is the first leg of an unforgettable journey around one of the British Isles' most fascinating cruising destinations. Join us as we begin our adventure, with plenty of beautiful scenery, real boating experiences and memorable moments along the way.
