Baboon Valley: The Untouched Heaven of Kashmir - EP6

Last night, we camped in Shaal village, a peaceful spot near Jagran. It was a beautiful experience, but the next morning brought some challenges. We had planned to continue our journey to Baboon Valley on our motorcycles, but the weather took a turn, and it started raining. The hotel owner and locals advised us against riding due to a slippery patch on the way that could make the journey unsafe, especially on bikes. After hearing their concerns, we decided to switch our plans and travel to Baboon Valley by jeep instead. We teamed up with five other friends from Bahawalnagar and paid 1,300 PKR per person, totaling 9,000 PKR for the entire trip. The jeep ride was smooth, and the scenic route added to the excitement of reaching the valley. Once we arrived at Baboon Valley, located at an altitude of around 12,731 feet, we were in awe of its untouched beauty. The lush green landscapes and towering mountains created a breathtaking view, making the journey completely worth it. The valley’s serene atmosphere made it feel like we had discovered a hidden paradise in Kashmir. There are two roads that can take you to Baboon Top. The first road starts from Kundal Shahi, passing through Kutan, Jagran, and Shaal, before reaching Baboon Top. The second road starts from Dawarian, goes through Lawat Bala and Jabri, and then leads to Baboon Top. Both routes offer unique views and an unforgettable experience.
