This Model 69A vintage 1953 is Winchesters follow up to the Model 57 which we featured previously at the Milsurp Garage (see link below). Lagging sales of the 57 due to its small size for a target rifle plus he timing factor (the great depression) caused Winchester to regroup and bring it to the table with the 69A.
