The Sliver Kids: How Two Nobodies Broke the Pro Tour
Imagine breaking the format in your first ever Pro Tour, how busted would your strategy have to be? Now imagine that you somehow did it against some of the best players to have ever played the game as well as the MTG pros of the era. Now imagine you have to do it against TWO of them. Yeah this Pro Tour had it all, San Diego 2007 is one of the most unique events Magic that's ever been held and there's almost too many reasons to list out about why. Not only did two PTQ qualifiers take it all down, but the format was the never played at the Pro Tour level again TWO HEADED GIANT and they did it with Slivers?? The horrors of Duskmourn have nothing on what Jacob Van Lunen and Chris Lachmann did to the people at this event. Talk about Feed(ing) The Swarm indeed. Seriously though this is one of my favourite stories from the 'Tour growing up and I don't think very many people know about it! Hope you enjoy.
