Since then, the popularity of light vehicles, or keijidosha in Japanese, has been on the rise. Today, almost every second car in Japan is a kei-car. However, the tax concession does not come without conditions. To be classified as a kei-car, a certain size and engine power must not be exceeded. Within these limits, however, there is everything you could wish for, from roadsters to SUVs and from minivans to motorhomes.
