New England Ghost Towns: Hawley, Massachusetts
I took advantage of a day off and beautiful fall weather to return to the Kenneth Dubuque Memorial State Forest in Hawley. 150 years ago this area was completely cleared off, settled and farmed. Today, what exists are miles of old roads and trails, some cellar holes and the community's graveyard. As New England goes, this is a ghost town. This is a great place to explore on a dual sport motorcycle or mountain bike.
