GRAFFITI IN BERLIN: KUNST ODER VANDALISMUS (2006)

Graffiti is a means of expressing a feeling about life, one that gained recognition through artists like Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat. However, not everyone considers graffiti art. Graffiti-covered walls are viewed as vandalism by local authorities and are therefore prosecuted. Even though the Berlin Wall was socially and artistically recognized after its fall, Berlin is not happy about its countless graffiti murals. There are supporters, but also opponents who constantly lie in wait for young sprayers and punish them for their art. https://berlingraffiti.de/2009/06/18/...
