woodturning #128 how to turn an urn
The last thing i can do for Mum on December 9th 2016 we lost our mum to Cancer, she fought hard, but the combination of the disease and the potential cure was too much for her, it was my intention to turn mums urn, as my brother and I had made dads urn in 2007, one of the hardest things to make, i think. knowing that she will rest eternally in this urn. Mum was a vibrant lady full of life and taken way too soon. I hope now she can finally rest in piece along side dad. visit my website http://www.woodsleesummercraft.ca/ Her love of Monet's poppies was always present in her life and after her life, the image was used during her funeral. and now she can rest with that image forever more. her ashes will be intered sometime this summer. For me my craft is for functionality, a purpose and a reason, the beauty and mystery generally is in the grain and figure of the wood, so for me to paint is a first. this video is fairly long, i dont talk through the video and there is some music throughout, i make key notes for your information. if you have any questions feel free to ask in the comments below.
