This evening, we’re walking through Taman Connaught Night Market: Kuala Lumpur’s Wednesday-only food marathon, loved and approved by the real locals. It’s about 30 minutes from downtown and stretches nearly two kilometres with more than 700 stalls. The sheer scale will have you buzzing with anticipation before you even arrive. The first thing you notice is the strong Chinese-Malaysian flavors. You’ll see more Chinese dishes here than at any other KL night market. You'll also find plenty of fun fusion mash-ups like: mochi stuffed with fruit-whipped cream cheese, crispy fried jackfruit that feels like carnival food from another planet, and fiery buldak noodles rolled inside Chinese jian bing burritos. They’re playful, probably a bit over the top, but exactly the kind of bites that can turn a simple night market visit into a story worth writing home about. Because the market is so long, stalls repeat every few blocks. Some say it's repetitive but I actually quite liked it.
