Replacing rotten celluloid binding
Vintage archtops, and Gretsch archtops specifically, often have celluloid rot in the binding. The celluloid over the past half-century loses its plasticity, and ultimately cracks and crumbles. In this video, I show that it only takes about 45 minutes to strip the binding from the neck and body.
