Popular Piety in Sydney | Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney Documentary
From early settlement to present day, Sydney Catholics have always embraced the opportunity to take their faith to the streets in the form of the Catholic procession. This new documentary by the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney explores the history of processions in Sydney and why more and more Sydneysiders are choosing to profess their faith publicly, every year. Featuring breathtaking footage from some of Sydney’s biggest processions in recent history, the film also features illuminating interviews with Auxiliary Bishop of Sydney, Most Rev. Richard Umbers and the Very Reverend, Father Peter Williams from the Catholic Institute of Sydney and Australian Catholic University.
