Trzecia wyprawa krzyżowa: bitwy o Ziemię Świętą

The Third Crusade was one of the greatest campaigns of the Middle Ages. The fall of Jerusalem in 1187 shook Europe and forced emperors and kings to organize a new expedition against Saladin. Frederick Barbarossa set out through Asia Minor, while Philip II and Richard the Lionheart led their forces by sea, aiming to reclaim the Holy Land. At the heart of this story are the decisive battles for the Holy Land. The Siege of Acre proved a grueling test for both armies, Richard's victory at Arsuf demonstrated his military prowess, and the Battle of Jaffa demonstrated the precarious balance of power. Although Jerusalem remained under Muslim rule, it was the Third Crusade that changed the map of the region and ended with a truce that determined the fate of the Holy Land for years to come.
