It pecks because something is bothering it, scaring it, frustrating it, overwhelming it, or because it has learned that this is the only way to get you to understand it. It's not about punishing it. This is about learning to read your parrot, understanding what's happening before it pecks, and changing the way you interact with it so it stops needing to use its beak as a defense mechanism or a way to express rejection.
