VW Passat B5.5 Driveshaft Removal The Easy Way

In this video I'm showing how I undo the bolts for the drive shaft fairly easily without a ramp and my only option was to jack it up on ground level, using the method I devised. The driveshaft will come out once unbolted from the gearbox and the hub and there is no need to undo any other suspension bolts. The driveshaft can be lifted at the back which gives just enough room to pull it out of the hub. Please note this is relevant to the 2005 2.0 ALT VW Passat Estate, Petrol vehicle and on the nearside driveshaft. This may or may not be the case for other models in the B5.5 range.
