The “Type” System (Explained)

Following the complexities associated with Royal Navy escort classification post WW2, it was determined that a new system was required. This came in the form of the “type system”, which has been used since the 1950’s to identify different classes of frigates and destroyers within the Royal Navy. This video will explore the circumstances which brought this system about, explain what each of the categories actually represent, and highlight some of the nuances to the whole system! This is my first video in over 6 months, as such, my script writing, recording, and editing quality has liked reduced in quality. As a result I don’t expect this video to be my finest work, but if it helps me get back into the swing of uploading then that’s good enough for me! Like what I do? - the best way to support the channel is to like, comment, and subscribe, I appreciate all your feedback (good and bad), and I’m always open to new video ideas! discord server:   / discord   “Royal Naval Review” is not affiliated with the owners of any third-party images used.
