Su Böreği Severlere Müjde! Haşlamadan En Pratik Su Böreği Tarifi

We love the delicious water pastry, with its layered texture and melt-in-your-mouth texture! Today, I'm sharing a recipe for water pastry that you can easily make by simply pouring hot water over it, without boiling the pastries individually as in the traditional method. --- #### Ingredients *For the dough:* 4 eggs ½ cup water 1.5 teaspoons salt Approximately 4-5 cups flour (to be added gradually) *For the topping:* 100 grams butter ½ cup oil *Filling:* 250 grams grated cheddar cheese 150 grams crushed white cheese Finely chopped parsley or ground meat, if desired *Hot water:* 3 cups boiling water --- #### Instructions 1. Break the eggs into a mixing bowl, add the water and salt, and mix. Then slowly add 4 cups of flour and knead. The dough should have a thick consistency, resembling manti dough. 2. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rest for half an hour. 3. Dust the rested dough with flour and roll it out to the size of a pie plate. 4. Melt the butter, add the oil, mix, and set aside. 5. Roll out the first dough piece into a large circle and place it on the baking sheet, brushing each layer with oil and crumpling it up. 6. After placing the 6 layers of phyllo dough, spread the cheese mixture. 7. Roll out the remaining 6 phyllo sheets in the same manner and stack them on top of each other, generously buttering each layer. 8. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (350°F) for 20 minutes. Then, remove from the oven and pour boiling water over the börek. 9. Return the börek to the oven and bake for another 30 minutes at 175°C (350°F). Slice the börek and serve hot. --- #### Tips It's important to generously butter each layer to separate the börek into layers. The börek should be freshly baked and hot when you pour the hot water over it.
