A journey of discovery in the Pilbara Ep25

This week we continue our adventures heading east across the top of the Pilbara. We start our episode at 40 Mile Beach which was a free camp when we were there, but from May 1st you need to book online as it becomes a low cost camp. Visitors can stay for up to 3 nights, and we had planned to stay the full 3 nights, but it was so hot and humid, plus I (Rach) was fully attacked by sand flies, so after the second night we decided to pack up and leave and head to a caravan park so that we could use the aircon. We headed to Point Samson and stayed in a beautiful caravan park on the point called The Cove, it was a great base to explore the region, we went to Karatha and picked up a few supplies. The following day we really enjoyed exploring the historical town of Cossack, this is a must see if you are in the area, then day 3 we head our to Dampier, the home of Red Dog's memorial statue. So grab a beer and get comfortable as we take you on a journey of discovery with us in the rugged Pilbara region of North, WA.
