When kids struggle saying "no" to consumerism. (A conversation I had with my daughter.)

Welcome back to our home to unpack honest moment with my daughter - one where she voiced feelings about our journey of underconsumption, conscious choices, and living more gently. As our kids grow up and see more options in life besides the way we are in our home - they struggle sometimes, caught between wanting better for the world, and the personal cost of making different choices. So this is some of the conversation we had, and how we approach this kind of conversation whenever it comes up. It’s a familiar conversation in our home, not because our kids don’t love their life or want these values - but because the conflict between having values, and the nitty gritty of living them out in real life is just hard sometimes. For kids and adults alike. So this is how we approach it, for all of us. If you’re new here, hi, I’m Kezia. Drop any questions below, I’ll answer them here or in a longer way in another video.
