My name is Satomi Okuhara. I'm a professional ballroom dancer and instructor born in Toyama in 1980 and currently living in Tokyo. I started dancing in college, but my love for dance was so strong that I headed straight for the professional path. I continued to compete in ballroom dance competitions for 19 years, and after some difficult times, in my later years I competed in the All Japan Segue Championships for six consecutive years. I then represented Japan in the 10-dance category and competed in the World Championships. Dance has changed everything for the better for me. I used to have poor posture, suffer from chronic headaches, and feel gloomy, but I'm sure it's thanks to dance that I've become healthy and can now dance and act confidently in front of others. I want to give back to the dance that raised me and share its wonders with as many people as possible! This is why I teach dance. Dance is not only fun, but it has the incredible power to develop a strong body and mind. It's also attracting attention as a powerful beauty method, anti-aging method, and dementia prevention method. Dance is also extremely effective in building an injury-resistant body. I would like to share Okuhara Satomi's style of "dance that makes the body happy." Thank you for your support. In 2002, I joined Kobe University's Competitive Dance Club. I graduated from the Department of Biological Environment Control, Faculty of Agriculture, Kobe University. In 2004, I became a professional turn dancer. In 2005, I was promoted to the JBDF Eastern Professional Latin A class. In 2006, I appeared on the TV program "Shall We Dance? ~All-Star Ballroom Dance Championship~ Shall We Dance." In 2014, she won the Ballroom Queen Award at the Tokyo Ballroom Dance Academy, awarded to champion-class girls despite being a semi-finalist at the All-Japan Championships. Represented Japan at the 2016 WDC World 10 Dance Championships, is a JBDF professional dance instructor, a full member of JBDF, a proper posture instructor, and a ballroom dance YouTuber. She retired in 2017. Instructs celebrities, models for dancewear, and appears in various promotions. Innerwear developed in collaboration with Kuwabatarie and Connie Co., Ltd. is currently on sale at NTV Poshre.
