L2 fell off? Replacing a DSL L2 Inductor with basic tools.
Here I try to replace a L2 inductor on a DSLite motherboard which has a missing one. And I try this using basic tools. I think the USB soldering iron I tested was under-powered, and it lacked thermal mass - but a cheap mains powered soldering iron, some flux and some tweezers should not break the budget to attempt to fix one. This is not a how to - just an experiment - your mileage may vary and you may break your board further. I recommend NOT doing this but just purchasing a used main board from an auction site and swapping it over with the faulty one.
