I Live in the Last Boarding House in the World
There are still places in this world where life proceeds quietly. Old boarding houses once sheltered entire categories of humanity now nearly extinct: dedicated schoolteachers, professors, pure mathematicians, widowers, clerks, failed artists, and many writers. Gentrification, zoning regulations, and many other issues related to corporations taking over our country killed boarding houses and SRO's for the most part, but some places secretly resist and carry on, thank God. In this videom I speak about life inside one of these fading places near the sea. This is not really a video about housing, but rather about an alternative way to live within the constraints of poisonous global capitalism. There is still a way to try cheap living and not participate in their system.
