Today, we explore Kagoshima in the rain. Walking through the city with an umbrella created a completely different atmosphere compared to a sunny day. Despite getting soaked by the rain, we visited the Shiroyama Park Observatory and enjoyed a beautiful view of rainy Kagoshima. The highlight of this trip was supposed to be Sakurajima, an active volcano. However, due to the heavy rain and thick fog that lasted all day, we were unable to see the volcano at all. Sakurajima remained hidden right in front of us, reminding us once again of the immense power and mystery of nature. The next day, under clear blue skies, we headed to Udo Shrine. Located on a coastal cliff overlooking the beautiful ocean, the breathtaking scenery of the shrine made us forget the disappointment of the previous day. We explore the spectacular waves crashing below the cliffs, the unique landscape, and the mysterious atmosphere of Udo Shrine.
