In this episode we have covered important current affairs topics like; Criminal Code bills, Post office Bill, 2023, Pantoea Tagorei, and UNODC Global Study Reports etc. Recently, President Draupadi Murmu has approved three new criminal code bills. These new laws are the Indian Judicial Code, the Indian Civil Defense Code and the Indian Evidence Act. These laws have replaced the Indian Penal Code, Code of Criminal Procedure and the Indian Evidence Act of 1872 respectively. Along with that, Post Office Bill, 2023 introduced in Lok Sabha. The purpose of this bill is to repeal the Indian Post Office Act, 1898, which has been in existence for 125 years. This Act regulates India Post, a departmental undertaking of the Central Government. In other section, Recently Visva-Bharati University has discovered bacteria capable of promoting plant growth. Which has been named 'Pantoa Tagori'.This bacteria has been found in Birbhum district of West Bengal. Let us tell you that it has been named after Nobel Prize winner Rabindranath Tagore.
