June 4, 2020 (Thursday) [One Chapter a Day] “I am the True Vine” (John 15) Busan Seongmin Church Dawn Prayer Meeting Preacher: Pastor Hong Yung-hee (Pastor Pink) John 15 is the famous parable of the vine. However, the actual atmosphere of this passage is so profound that it's almost terrifying. It's a call to decision, like Jesus' final will to his disciples, who, no matter how much he tells them, still fail to understand. Only Jesus is the true vine. The law, deeds, good deeds, and Jewish heritage are all nothing but false vines. Jesus emphasizes that the only way to God is through Jesus. He then says that if we abide in Jesus, and Jesus in us, we will bear much fruit. This is the life of meditation on the Word. Only when we embrace, read, follow, and meditate on the Word of the Lord, will all our prayers, as we desire, be fulfilled. It will be answered.
