HOW TO TUNE A 13 INCH TOM TO 4 GREAT TUNINGS

In this YouTube highlight reel, I discuss, and demo the four different tunings I do on this Rogers Covington 13" Tom using an Evans Coated G1 Single Ply on the Batter side with a coated stock Ambassador on the reso side. Each tuning is at a different tension, (Low, Medium/Low, Medium/High, and High), which gives you a broad range of tones for your 13" Tom. I also discuss how the tunings of my 16" Floor Tom changed with the tunings of my 13" tom in order to maintain the same interval between the 2 drums, and maintain a consistent style of tone between the 2 drums. All drum sounds are raw from the Earthworks DK7 Drum Mic Kit with no FX, and no EQ so you can clearly hear the pure sounds of the drums VS. somebody's mixing work.
