Soeur Anny Myriam Favre - Une femme de prière au milieu des pauvres

"When I grow up, I'll be a sister!" These are the words Anny Myriam Favre said when she was still a child and marveled at the smile of a nun she had just met. It was finally at the age of 23 that she made a concrete commitment to a life entirely given to God in celibacy and entered the Fraternity of the Little Sisters of Jesus. Joy and simplicity accompanied her daily as she reached out to the people she met and whom she called her "brothers and sisters in humanity." In concrete terms, she found work washing dishes in a large restaurant or at the checkout in a department store, and she even spent two stints of several months in prison as a voluntary inmate. Sister Anny Myriam Favre shares a testimony full of gentleness and delicacy, always guided by this phrase from the Gospel: "He who does not love the brother he has seen cannot love the God he has not seen." 1 John 4:20 A Listening Heart, October 26, 2015.
