Dug this up metal detecting and its old but I don't know what it is

I was out in the woods in what is now overgrown farm field metal detecting relic hunting. Had a couple of good finds amongst all the junk and trash I was cleaning up out of the ground. Far out back from the cellar hole where the house once was I followed the stone walls. I dug up this interesting lead thing that was part of something, you can see it was applied to another thing at some point. Interesting and looks a bit familiar You never know what you are going to find doing this at these old deserted places.
