JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Deputy Speakers of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) Sufmi Dasco Ahmad and Saan Mustopa met with student representatives who were protesting in front of the DPR RI Building in Senayan, Jakarta. During the hearing, the students conveyed a number of demands, ranging from the scarcity of subsidized fuel, the high price of basic necessities, an evaluation of the Free Nutritional Meal Program (MBG), to issues of civil supremacy and national economic stability. In response to these demands, the DPR promised to follow up and facilitate dialogue with the government. Dasco stated that a number of demands had been directly communicated to the relevant ministries and the Head of the National Nutrition Agency.
