Retrospectiva 2019

How was 2019 for you? What is your assessment of the events that impacted Brazil and the world throughout this year? This is the purpose of this special edition of Viva Voz. We have selected a series of facts to help us better understand where we went in 2019. In Brazil, the year began with the inauguration of President Jair Bolsonaro, but soon after the country had to deal with the pain of the collapse of the Vale mining company's dam in Brumadinho, and with the fire at Ninho do Urubu, which ended the dream of the Flamengo boys. There was also the Pension Reform, fires in the Amazon and new developments in Operation Lava-Jato. In South America, crisis and social unrest in Venezuela, Chile, Bolivia, Colombia and Peru. On the international scene, the Yellow Vests intensified their demonstrations against the high taxes of the Macron government; the United Kingdom remains unclear about leaving the European Union; the United States under Donald Trump continues to flirt with Xi Jinping's China. And Notre Dame caught fire.
