A tale of Kurpie forest life. A passion for folklore motivates him in his professional work and in pursuing his passion. Witold Kuczyński – President of the Kurpie Society "Strzelec" (Strike) and director of the Kurpie Folkloristic Ensemble "Carniacy" in Czarnia. He leads folkloric ensembles and singing groups in the Czarnia commune on a voluntary basis. He founded and currently leads the Kurpie Folkloristic Ensemble "Carniacy," a socio-cultural association called the Kurpie Society "Strzelec" in Czarnia, and the School of Folk Musicians. He popularizes and promotes the folk culture of the Kurpie Green Forest. He is the author of numerous publications, including scripts for ritual performances, periodical brochures, leaflets, folk tales, and his own poems and folk songs. He keeps a chronicle of cultural events in the Czarnia commune and the Kurpie region (21 volumes) and collects recordings documenting the culture of the Kurpie region. He co-founded the Brother Zenon Museum of Kurpie-Japanese Culture in Czarnia. He is a folk storyteller. He dances, sings, creates music, prose, poetry, and documents traditions.
