The Conspired (Trainz 2006) - Unfinished Canadian Express Remake Test Footage (Feb. 2025)

A planned, but unfinished, remake of the original Canadian Express video I had done in 2017. A terrible "movie" in any way imaginable, but I was young, having fun with my new copy of Fraps. This was meant to be the redemption and reimagining of that video with an entirely new script, entirely new storyline, and entirely new characters. "The Conspired" was the name of this idea, as it would've been about how Raymond, from the original, was setup as a fall guy for the disaster of the "Canadian Express". The Canadian Express being a soon-to-be scrapped consist that was taking some passengers on one final joyride. Its name originating from the fact it was being delivered from across the country border. A group of oddjob people decided they didn't very much like the railway company, so they set out to compromise as much as possible. One act of compromise being the deliberate truck collision seen at the end of this video. In the Original Canadian Express video, that truck collision was a terrible attempt at making a dumb reference to Atomic Train's opening scene. Here, its actually got some flavor being it. The maps you see in the video were made by me in Trainz Railroad Simulator 2006, except for Marias Pass itself. The scenes with the obviously GMod animated ragdoll were done by me as well. I had managed to rip some models from Trainz and port them into GMod to use as the background setpiece for the character's exit from the train. The maps in the timelapse are based on real locations from Blaine, WA to Whitefish, MT, go on Google Maps and try to find all the exact locations as a fun little game! I've decided to upload this for the fact that it will probably just never be finished, and wanted it out there as just a proof of concept. I had always wanted to remake this after having given up on the sequel, which I could probably upload some test footage of. The sequel being a whole can of worms in itself, from constant backseating in my dms about how to make the video and what to add, along with aspirations dwindling while making it on my, at the time, actively failing computer, it was too much. Its footage and assets exists on my harddrive still, I've planned for years to post/share them, but just haven't. Hope you enjoy this little bit of unpublished media!
