Tomatin Cù Bòcan Bourbon, Oloroso & Virgin Oak | Whisky Review

https://whisky.com/p.php?id=TOMATCBSI Nosing 03:12 Whisky.com reviews the Tomatin Cù Bòcan Bourbon, Oloroso & Virgin Oak. Tomatin Cù Bòcan is an experimental whiskey from Highland Distillery, made from lightly peated barley malt and distilled in limited batches each winter. Cù Bòcan means 'ghost dog' in Gaelic. According to legend, the inhabitants of the Tomatin area were haunted by a ghost dog, which dissolved into blue smoke and disappeared over the Highland moors. Each bottling of Cù Bòcan is matured in different cask combinations to bring out the exceptional flavors in the single malt. This malt was matured in three cask types: the bourbon casks made it smooth and sweet, the Oloroso sherry casks gave it its luscious fruitiness and the fresh American white oak casks contributed pure and fresh notes.
