Severe Thunderstorm strikes Westbury: July 2, 2014 8pm
A line of severe thunderstorms held together as it moved over NYC (a rarity) and struck Nassau County at around 8pm. The skies grew dark, and the rain poured, and the lightning was almost non-stop. Fortunately no power troubles in Westbury, but PSEG Long Island did report about 3,500 outages. There was minor street flooding. All in all it was quite a storm!
