Melqui Galvão é acusado de intimidar atletas que o denunciaram por importunação

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor Melqui Galvão has been accused of intimidating female athletes from inside prison after they reported him for sexual harassment. During a session at the Amazonas State Legislative Assembly, a video was presented showing him in a video call with one of the victims, attempting to persuade her to change her testimony. Melqui also allegedly mentioned his son, Mika Galvão, offering the victim sporting advantages and promising financial support in exchange for altered statements. He reportedly had the help of a brother who is a police officer and another unidentified person to gain access to the victim's cell phone. The case will be reported to the São Paulo Civil Police, which is responsible for the investigations.
